Key Takeaway from Noel Levitz

2011 // August

Realview TV attended this year’s Noel-Levitz’s National Conference on Student Recruitment, Marketing and Retention -- the higher education recruitment industry’s most important annual gathering -- and found resounding approval of its work.

With the conference’s focus primarily on recruitment strategies, renewed emphasis was placed on website experience – seen as a critical tool in an effective enrollment campaign.

A post-conference report concluded that a positive website experience is made up of several components, including scope for interactive features, social media, and original content.

Among the findings:
•         1 in 5 students admit that a negative experience has turned them away in the past.
•         Interactive campus maps and videos are important tools that engage student interest.
•         More students are accessing website content through mobile devices.

“A lot of invaluable ideas and information was shared at Noel Levitz,” said Courtney Cable Sowerby, Realview TV Vice President, Education Channel. “Most importantly for us, though, was that we found there is increased appreciation and interest by the prospective students for what we offer.”
