More Adults Watching Online Video

The figure reflects a growing interest of online video, and a willingness by sites to provide it. More news outlets, for example, have shed written content in favor of well-edited video streams, which are most effective when packaged in segments of two minutes or less.

In other news, Bob Johnson’s Blog on Higher Education Marketing last month reported that future students researching their chosen academic programs express “high interest in what current students think about their experience in those programs.”

Johnson notes that a strong marketing impact is created when students tell visitors brief stories about their academic programs. So strong, in fact, that visits average 8 minutes in length, with viewers watching an average of 6 videos per visit.
